Fallin' For You by Colbie Caillat
Reviewed by Kate, Roberto Clemente Middle School
Fallin' For You has the same fresh, relaxing sound that is characteristically Colbie Caillat but with new energy and relatable lyrics that are romantic without being overused or cliche. It's brand-new and already top-of-the-charts without being too overplayed.

Today Was Your Last Day
Reviewed by Nilu, Westland Middle School
This is a really inspiring song by Nickelback. It tells us to live each day as your last and make that day worth it. "Each day's a gift and not a given right." Do what you can do, because you never know if today is your last day.

Going Under (Single) by Evanescence
Reviewed by Mythili, Montgomery Blair High School
An old favorite of mine, Going Under starts with a sorta scary edge. You think you're going hear one of those screamo bands (not that there's anything wrong with them). But Amy Lee's angelic vocals contrast terrifically with the band's dark strains. She's got a stadium-sized voice like Mariah Carey. ![]()

Prachya Pinkaew Martial Arts rising star, Tony Jaa, makes an outstanding debut in this Thai movie that surpasses all expectations. He was called the new Bruce Lee, and while the first time you hear that it seems an exaggeration--because the same was said with Jet Li--he does the honor to the comparison by bringing a fulfilling film with emotional content and extraordinary action scenes.

Up

As much as I'm not a hardcore fan of sappy G-rated movies, Disney-Pixar has done it again. Up has the same laugh-out-loud humor and cuteness as does WALL-E. The disgruntled Carl, the radio-talky Dug, and the gender-unsure bird Kevin provide for an entertaining host of characters.

A great movie that's fun for the whole family. This movie is about two people who are in love and are separated and they find each other again. The main characters are a woman named Buttercup who is a princess played by Robin Wright and her true love Westley played by Cary Elwes.

This delightful story will bring tears to one's eyes, both caused by laughter and sadness. The rebellious princess Anna, tired of her royal duties, decides to run away. She meets news reporter Joe and takes on a new identity as Anya. Both find themselves deceiving the other, without knowing that one of them possesses the knowledge of the other's secret. This is an entertaining movie in which two strangers meet whose fates intertwine. Both Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn deliver more than satisfying performances, leaving you craving for more.
Maxi The Informant

Two words: quirky and random. That pretty much sums up the entire movie. Based on a true story, The Informant tells the story of a bipolar biochemist who spins a web of lies hoping to climb higher in the corporate ladder of success. The beginning of the movie starts out slow and makes the movie goers thoroughly confused; however as the movie progress the puzzle pieces that are the movie’s plot finally fit together. Matt Damon, playing Mark Whitacre, an executive in a fast growing biochemical corporation, opens the movie with a completely random monologue about corn and its abundance in mainstream society. Whitacre’s random bursts of information and quirky rants continue throughout the movie and provide the main source of comedy for the movie. However comedy in this movie is very unlike comedy in other popular blockbusters, you really need to understand sarcasm and satire in order to enjoy the movie. I would definitely recommend this movie to those who want to watch a quirky yet puzzling movie and are willing to think in order to laugh.
